RSVP

The History Department and the Institute for Middle East Studies invite students, faculty, and staff to a special screening of the documentary Coexistence, My Ass! on March 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in PHIL 328–9.

The film follows comedian and activist Noam Shuster‑Eliassi over five tumultuous years—from her upbringing in the intentional Jewish‑Palestinian community of Neve Shalom/Wahat al‑Salam, to her work at the United Nations, to her emergence as a bold political comedian performing across the Middle East.

Through humor, vulnerability, and sharp insight, the documentary invites audiences to confront difficult truths about the region while still insisting that alternative futures remain possible.

You can find trailers and more information on the film’s website:

The screening is open to the entire GW community.
