Dr. Ismail ibn Ali is the Head of School at Al Fatih Academy in Northern Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Florida, a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Central Florida. His doctoral dissertation examined the implementation of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and its influence on student disciplinary outcomes in public schools. He has taught in a variety of public and private PS-12 school settings over the last 15 years. He holds an Administrative Professional Certification for school principalship and is licensed in MS & HS Biology in Maryland, Florida, and Virginia. He is also the Executive Director and instructor at Fawakih Institute, where he manages instruction for hundreds of students worldwide and leads the development of Fawakih’s Quranic Arabic Curriculum.
