Middle East Outreach Council - Middle East Book Award Winners

Established in 2000, the Middle East Book Awards recognize exemplary books for children and young adults that contribute meaningfully to an understanding of the Middle East and its component societies and cultures. Books are judged on the authenticity of the portrayal of a Middle Eastern subject, as well as on their characterization, plot, and appeal for the intended audience. Awards are given in three categories: Picture Book, Youth Literature, and Youth Non-Fiction. Past winners and honorable mentions can be found at the Middle East Outreach Council website.
