The Middle East Policy Forum is excited to announce our second event of the semester, A Conversation with the Iraqi Ambassador, following a summer of strategic dialogue meetings over the future of the U.S.-Iraqi relationship. Amb. Fareed Yasseen, will join MEPF to discuss his view of the U.S.-Iraqi relationship and recent events in the region.

Ambassador Fareed Yasseen is currently Iraq’s ambassador to the United States, a posting he assumed in November 2016. He joined Iraq’s Ministry’s of Foreign Affairs in July 2004, and has previously served as head of the Ministry’s Department of Policy planning, as diplomatic advisor to Deputy President Adil Abd al-Mahdi and , prior to his posting in Washington, as Ambassador to France.
