Social Justice and Foreign Language with Cassandra Glynn

Social Justice in World Language workshop

This 2.5 hour workshop will focus on key tenets of teaching for social justice in world language and will provide entry points into participants’ own curriculum.  The workshop will include hands-on work with social justice standards and World-Readiness Standards and opportunities to brainstorm and collaborate with fellow participants.  Participants will examine a variety of examples and will leave the workshop with next steps for their own curriculum and program.

    Cassandra Glynn Dr. Cassandra Glynn is an Associate Professor of Education at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN where she teaches methods courses for pre-service and in-service teachers.  She also serves as Director of the Master of Education in World Language Instruction in partnership with Concordia Language Villages.  She is co-author of Words and Actions:  Teaching Languages through the Lens of Social Justice.
