DC Arabic Teacher Council (DC-ATC)

IMES hosts the DC Arabic Teachers’ Council. The DC-ATC provides virtual and in-person professional development workshops designed for Arabic instructors at all levels, to assist in developing new curricula, integrating pedagogical resources, and mastering new instructional technologies. DC-ATC also provides a platform for teachers of Arabic to meet, network, and share their own resources and ideas to elevate the teaching of Arabic language and culture. The DC Arabic Teachers’ Council is made possible through support and funding from Qatar Foundation International (QFI). QFI engages a diverse, global community of learners and educators, fostering cross-cultural connections through the exploration of the Arabic language and the Arab world’s histories, cultures, and peoples in student-centered learning environments. QFI is headquartered in Washington, DC and is a member of Qatar Foundation (QF).
