RSVP The earthquake centered in Turkey was the largest in over a century, and the destruction that extended into already war-ravaged sections of northern Syria has been difficult to comprehend. Members of the Turkish and Syrian diasporas have been quick to organize relief efforts, but many of these face obstacles due to ongoing conflicts and sanctions. What can we do when faced with such unrelenting tragedy? What can historical relief efforts teach us about how to respond today? Please join IMES and the Humanitarian Action Initiative for a teach-in that will address these and other questions with speakers from GW and beyond.
